Frequently Asked Questions

How do you disassemble pallets without destroying the wood?

We start with laying our pallets out on a flat surface and spraying the nails with a small amount of spray lubricant to help break up some of the rust. After the lubricant sits for about 10-15 minutes, we carefully use hammers and prybars to get underneath the pallet board and slowly pull up the wood. We then press the wood back down, leaving the nails sticking up far enough to pull out. The reclaimed board is then placed out in the sun to dry the remaining lubricant and sanded with 60-100 grit sandpaper to remove rough edges and prepare it for cutting or assembling.

Do you do custom builds?

Yes! We keep an inventory of in stock custom furniture, but can create custom builds upon request with pallet wood or finished lumber. Send us an email today to discuss your dream design and let us see what we can do for you!

Do you stain or paint?

All of our in stock pieces are assembled without sealing, staining or painting. We will stain or paint in stock or custom build pieces upon request in whatever finish you like.

Do you only use pallet wood?

Most of our builds are done with 100% reclaimed pallet or barn wood. Occasionally, we use rough cut purchased lumber for components such as table legs and structural support.

Do you sell pallet boards to use for my own projects, shiplap, siding or backsplashes?

We do not stock pallet boards to sell normally, but can create a bundle to use for your needs upon request.

Do you buy or sell pallets?

We do not normally sell pallets, but will purchase or pickup donated pallets from your home or business to prevent you paying a disposal or pickup fee.

Do you ship, deliver or allow pickup?

Smaller items such as home decor and bundles of pallet wood we can ship. We currently do not offer shipping on larger items such as tables, chairs, benches etc. We can deliver larger items within a 50 mile radius of our home workshop in Oliver Springs, TN for a standard rate of $0.25 per mile. We do allow pickup services by appointment only.

Do you currently have a shop or showroom?

As of right now, we are based out of our home, but are hoping to grow and open up a physical location in the Oak Ridge or Knoxville area.
